Our pine lumber used for log homes, tongue and groove lumber, Interior Shiplap and flooring and interior paneling products are always Kiln-Dried.

What is the difference between a board foot and a linear foot?

A board foot of lumber is equal to a square foot lumber 1" thick.   In other words, one board foot is a piece of lumber that is 1 foot wide, 1 foot long and 1 inch thick.   A 'linear foot' is the same thing as a 'foot'. Sometimes we use the phrase 'linear foot' to make it clear we are not talking about square feet or cubic feet.  Linear feet just means any distance or length measured in feet.

Do you deliver?

We do not deliver but we are happy to put you in touch with someone that can.

Do you sell sawdust, shavings or mulch?

Our products are used locally for livestock bedding, garden bedding, & more. Most of this product is hauled as quick as we can make it.  Call in advance.

Should I stain my log cabin/ deck/ fence/ or pavillion?

Yes.   Staining helps the structure weather better and keeps the wood from the elements.

What do you suggest as an exterior stain for my log cabin / deck/ fence/ pavillion?

We handle a superior line of exterior stains manufactured by CTA called Outlast. This is an all natural, oil based finish. We have 6 different shades to choose from. Available in a handy 5 gallon can. Each can has a coverage of 750 sq.ft.  Color charts available and we carry color samples for you to try. It is good for both vertical & horizontal surfaces. NEVER PEELS OR CRACKS!

How do I keep boring bees and other insects out of my wood?

We offer an insect repellent additive, in the Outlast Product line, NBS30 that works well with both oil and water base stains.  Designed to deter & inhibit insects from burrowing through or crawling on exterior coatings & for use in residential applications like log homes, decks, fences and outdoor structures.

Will you take trees from my yard?

It is too risky for us to take yard trees.  Unfortunately you never know what might be in them (i.e. hooks, nails, spikes, clothes line hooks, etc).  If we damage a saw blade on piece of metal, it becomes a large expense for us.  We are happy to put you in touch with loggers that have portable sawmills that may be interested.

Do you sell to Homeowners, 'DIY'ers, & Contractors?

Yes, Yes, & Yes!
